The filibuster and the Incredible Hulk

Oh, yeah...

On February 26 2003, Ted Stevens of Alaska had lost his cool and was living up to his tie (featuring the Hulk - stylish or what?).

And, it seems, he was the first to suggest, to an impromptu indignation meeting of GOP senators, that they should kill the filibuster on a simple majority vote - the nuclear option.

The Dems had crossed the line with their opposition to Miguel Estrada, it seems, who had no judicial past. New boy Bill Frist was milky at the time, apparently.

Ben trovato?
