Mousewitz is keeping it in-house, apparently

So a Romenesko forum post says (4/20/2005 3:39:06 PM):
...the good folks at Disney/ABC/ESPN are represented at this week's conclave of television news directors in Las Vegas -- held concurrently with the NAB convention -- with an open pitch for coverage of the 50th anniversary of Disneyland, which begins in a couple of weeks. Typically, this means that Disney will pick up all the expenses of reporters, producers and techies who volunteer for this hardship duty. The company also has been known to throw in satellite time, engineering equipment and prime set-up locations, in exchange for positive coverage.

Maybe some intrepid reporter could do the math for us, and determine the value of such news features vis a vis a 30-second commercial Disney wouldn't have to buy.

Viva media consolidation, eh?
