Bankruptcy bill in trouble in the House?

The hard part is over for S 256: passed the Senate, House is a slam-dunk (as George Tenet would probably not put it).

So what can the Des Moines Register mean?
Quote of the week: "Let me just say it in four words: Ha ha ha ha." - House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., asked about House Republican efforts to reach out to Democrats to help pass a bankruptcy overhaul bill.

Why in hell's name would there be any need for that?

The Rules Committee schedule shows S256 down to be dealt with tomorrow April 12. Both Judiciary and Financial Services have discharged the bill; it's good to go.

Again, what's with the reaching out? A gag at the expense of the uninformed, perhaps.

Because Pelosi managing to balk that damned bankruptcy bill is on the far side of Druther County.

And, if it happened, Howard Fineman (earlier piece) would have been rimming the Minority Leader of the wrong house...
