Roll calls for dummies are available online!

Having just (February 5) complained about the lack of online historical legislative material, I find some!

Roll Calls for the 1st to 106th Congresses are available on the Voteview site, together with software to manipulate the data - including DW-NOMINATE (I can drop the name, but not much else for now): around 30MB for the lot.

I'd previously tried to work similar data from Keith Poole's site - mentioned on January 16 - but failed. The current software is fairly friendly - no command line stuff. (If I can work it, how difficult can it be?)
