Spain uses D'Hondt

Just for the record.

It's a party-list system of proportional representation.

In Spain, the provincia (there are 52) is the unit on which the system is operated in allocating seats in the Congreso de los Diputados. (The results by provincia - and an explanation of the D'Hondt system as it applies in Spain.)

(I have yet to find a list of the candidates chosen to be diputados. Candidates tend to be rather less important under a list system, I think.)

Checking Google News for d'hondt produces only some girl basketball player!
