Context for the WMD piece...
...Meanwhile, Bush Chief of Staff Andy Card is saying (AP December 7) that whether Saddam had WMD or not is
a moot point.
Overall intelligence has been "very, very good," Card said Sunday. But, he added, "Intelligence is a collection of dots, and then an analysis on how those dots might be connected. Some of those dots may not be what they appear to be, and some of the connections may not have been what people would have suggested."
Has he run that one by MI6 chief Sir Richard Dearlove, I wonder?
(This follows Richard Perle's assertion during Bush's London visit (November 20) that the legality of the invasion was moot.)
Also, there's a Rummygram for Gingrich.
Who is bandying about the V-word like some surrender monkey in Newsweek (December 15). Newt has one or two zingers of his own:
I’m told over there that CPA stands for ‘Can’t Produce Anything’.
Sounds a bit fin de régime to me...
