A couple of interesting US foreign policy links

Another listing - can one have too many? - of US military and political interventions under the title Basic Statistics for United States Imperialism
(the authors not entirely sympathetic to the National Security Strategy, I fancy!) Laconic but has potential.

And a long (35,000 word) 1991 piece from Sheldon Richman of Cato, "Ancient History": U.S. Conduct in the Middle East Since World War Il and the Folly Of Intervention, which rounds up the usual suspects, from kicking the Soviets out of Persia onwards. On the basis of a brief tasting, it looks useful: a pretty straight narrative, the axe-grinding not at a level to require ear-protectors!
